Course History

Over the years, the course has evolved significantly, with a remarkable transformation taking place in 1996 under the visionary guidance of Barry Serafin, who introduced innovative designs that have enhanced the course’s playability and aesthetics. The course prioritizes precision and strategy over sheer length. Distance control on approach shots is critical, as being out of position on our undulating greens can quickly impact a player’s score.

Our most skilled players navigate the demanding par fours on the outward nine, aiming to make the turn near par, before capitalizing on the three par fives on the inward nine to finish strong. Members take great pride in showcasing our century-old greens, which serve as the course’s ultimate defense—leaving many guests eager for another opportunity to conquer their challenges.

The course invites players to embrace precision and thoughtfulness over pure length with its just-under 6,400-yard layout from the championship tees. Our private country club is open Tuesday through Sunday from April through November. We incorporate a tee time system to accommodate our golf members and their guests. We play less than 7,000 rounds annually, a busy day on the course is about 60 players.

We have a modern golf shop, a driving range, and a short game area for practice; as well as golf lessons with our PGA Staff members. We offer a golf simulator theater area for winter golf lessons, member play, and parties. We offer lockers, bag storage, and USGA handicap services. We offer a full schedule of golf events for men and women during our season, offering men’s and women’s leagues and junior golf clinics during the summer months.
